Da Nang Airport by bus: terminals, routes and city connections
Choose a Da Nang Airport bus by your terminal, current stop and destination, recognising that route 12 descriptions differ across official pages.

The short answer
Da Nang Airport lists public-bus boarding near both terminals, including urban services and a separate Hoi An connection. Match your destination to the current route at the terminal. Official route 12 descriptions conflict, so do not rely on an old map for an automatic direct beach ride.
Begin at the terminal information rather than the city map
The airport’s current transport page identifies bus pickup outside domestic T1 and international T2, with urban routes 12 and 06 and a separate Hoi An service. This is more useful for a new arrival than standing beside a nearby road and hoping a passing bus accepts airport passengers. After collecting luggage, ask for the active stop serving your destination and direction. Keep the accommodation address ready in Vietnamese so staff can distinguish a city-centre journey from a coastal or Hoi An transfer.
Recognise the route 12 information conflict
The Da Nang transport directory describes route 12 as Xuan Dieu–Pham Hung through the airport, while an April 2026 overview still describes the older 29/3 Park–Vung Thung coastal pattern. Both carry official transport branding, so simply selecting the newest-looking search result is insufficient. Confirm the route displayed on the actual vehicle and at the stop before boarding. This guide deliberately does not promise that route 12 gives every beach hotel a direct ride from the terminal.
Separate the Hoi An airport connection
The official route directory identifies 01SB as an airport–Hoi An service, distinct from the ordinary city network and route 02. If Hoi An is your destination, compare the actual airport boarding arrangement and available departure with the city-bus option that requires reaching a stop outside the airport. Confirm the final Hoi An point and any last walk or paid ride. The same destination name does not make two bus products interchangeable in their fares, luggage provision or operating span.
Include walking and luggage in the decision
A bus can be a practical solo or light-luggage option when it stops near your accommodation. With large cases, a tired child or a late arrival, compare the whole group’s cost and effort with a clearly priced taxi or authorised transfer. Do not assume the last bus is timed to every flight. If the service cannot be confirmed, arrange the alternative while still at an official information point rather than accepting an unexplained vehicle offer outside the terminal.
Recheck the airport-bound journey before departure
The return stop may be on a different road or use a different terminal circulation. Check it afresh and leave time for waiting, traffic and check-in. A convenient outward bus does not guarantee the same frequency at your required hour. Store the destination terminal, booking details and a fallback contact offline. The best airport-bus plan is a verified journey that fits the flight, with enough margin to choose another mode before the connection becomes urgent.
Questions travellers ask
Does route 12 definitely go straight to My Khe?
Do not assume that. Official descriptions differ; confirm the active route and stop for your hotel.
Is01SB the same as city route 02?
No. The airport service and the city-to-Hoi An route are separate products.
